Instructions for Authors
1. General Requirements
- Manuscripts must not have been previously published or simultaneously submitted elsewhere.
- Submissions are accepted only through the online submission system.
- All manuscripts undergo single-blind peer review by at least two experts.
- Each submission is screened for plagiarism; similarity above 20% may be returned or rejected at editorial discretion.
- Authors must disclose conflicts of interest, funding sources, and acknowledgments.
2. Manuscript Preparation
2.1 Title Page
- Concise article title, preferably no more than 100 characters.
- Full names, institutional affiliations, and ORCID iDs of all authors.
- Corresponding author contact details.
- Author contributions using the CRediT taxonomy.
- Funding information and acknowledgments where applicable.
2.2 Abstract and Keywords
- Abstract length: up to 250 words.
- Structured abstract: Background, Methods, Results, Conclusions.
- Keywords: 3–6 selected from MeSH.
2.3 Text Structure
For systematic reviews and meta-analyses: Introduction, Methods, Results, Discussion, and Conclusions. Authors must prepare manuscripts in accordance with PRISMA guidelines.
2.4 References and Citation Style
- Vancouver style.
- References numbered consecutively in the order cited.
- Six or fewer authors: list all names; more than six authors: list the first three followed by et al.
- Include DOI where available.
- Use NLM journal-title abbreviations.
- Systematic reviews and meta-analyses: minimum 30 references, with no upper limit when justified.
2.5 Tables and Figures
Tables and figures must be numbered consecutively, cited in the text, and supplied with legends. Raster figures should normally be at least 300 dpi.
2.6 Abbreviations
Define abbreviations at first mention and avoid unnecessary abbreviations in titles and abstracts.
4. Revisions
- Provide a point-by-point response to reviewers’ comments.
- Highlight changes using track changes or colored text.
5. Ethical Standards
Systematic reviews and meta-analyses must include a PRISMA flow diagram. Registration in PROSPERO or an equivalent registry is recommended but not mandatory.
6. Plagiarism Policy
All manuscripts are screened for plagiarism. Submissions with similarity above 20% may be rejected or returned for revision at the Editorial Board’s discretion.
7. Open Access and Copyright
GMR is fully open access and free for authors and readers. Articles are published under CC BY 4.0 and authors retain copyright.
8. Submission Steps
- Register or log in.
- Enter manuscript metadata.
- Upload the required files.
- Review the submission.
- Submit the manuscript.
