Aims and Scope

1. Mission and Aims

Global Medical Reviews (GMR) is an international, peer-reviewed, open access journal dedicated to advancing medical knowledge through the publication of systematic reviews, meta-analyses, narrative reviews, and state-of-the-art literature reviews.

The journal’s mission is to provide a reliable platform for the critical synthesis of evidence in medicine and healthcare, support clinicians in evidence-based decision making, assist researchers in identifying gaps in current knowledge, and contribute to healthcare policy and education at local and global levels.

The journal is published quarterly (4 issues per year). At this stage, GMR does not publish special issues or supplements.

2. Scope of the Journal

The journal welcomes contributions in all areas of medical and health sciences where reviews can strengthen the evidence base.

3. Types of Articles

GMR publishes review-based articles. Current submission categories are Systematic Reviews and Meta-Analyses. Systematic reviews should comply with PRISMA and preferably have a protocol registered in PROSPERO or OSF. Meta-analyses should use rigorous and clearly described quantitative methods.
