Research Ethics Policy for Reviews

GMR publishes review-based articles. Systematic reviews and meta-analyses generally analyze already published or publicly available evidence and therefore usually do not require new institutional ethics approval.

Author Responsibilities

• Accurately report the ethical context of included studies when relevant.
• Obtain permission for copyrighted material reproduced from other publications.
• Protect confidential or patient-level data if individual-level information is used.
• Disclose protocol registration and methodological deviations where applicable.

The GMR Editorial Office reserves the right to request clarification or supporting documentation when ethical or permission issues arise.
