Artificial Intelligence (AI) Policy

1. AI and Authorship

Generative AI tools do not meet authorship criteria. Human authors remain accountable for all submitted and published content.

2. AI in Manuscript Preparation

Authors must disclose material AI-assisted language editing, analysis, or figure generation as appropriate. References and factual claims generated with AI must be independently verified.

3. AI in Peer Review

Reviewers must not upload confidential manuscript material into public or externally hosted generative AI systems. Reviewers remain responsible for confidentiality, accuracy, fairness, and originality of their reports.

4. Editorial Responsibility

Editors may request clarification about AI use and act when inappropriate or undisclosed AI use affects integrity, confidentiality, or reliability.
