For Authors
Publication Ethics
Global Medical Reviews is committed to the highest standards of publication ethics and integrity in research dissemination.
1. Editorial Responsibilities
Editorial decisions are based on scientific quality, relevance, integrity, and journal scope.
2. Conflicts of Interest
Authors, reviewers, and editors must disclose actual or potential financial, professional, or personal conflicts.
3. Funding and Sponsorship
All sources of financial support and the role of funders must be disclosed.
4. Human and Animal Ethics
Because GMR publishes review-based articles, individual patient consent or new institutional ethics approval is generally not required unless patient-level data or identifiable material are used. Authors remain responsible for appropriate ethical reporting and permissions.
5. Confidentiality
Manuscripts are confidential during peer review. Reviewers must not share, distribute, or discuss manuscripts with third parties.
6. Plagiarism and Research Misconduct
Plagiarism, self-plagiarism, fabrication, falsification, duplicate submission, and copyright infringement may lead to rejection, retraction, or institutional notification.
7. Data Sharing and Reproducibility
Authors must transparently report databases, search strategies, eligibility criteria, and methods. Protocol registration is encouraged and PRISMA reporting is expected.
8. Complaints and Appeals
Appeals and complaints are handled fairly and transparently in line with COPE procedures.
9. Post-publication Corrections and Retractions
Minor errors may be corrected through errata or corrigenda. Serious errors or misconduct may require retraction.
10. Use of Artificial Intelligence Tools
AI systems cannot be authors. Material AI assistance must be disclosed, and reviewers must protect confidential manuscripts from unauthorized AI systems.
11. Intellectual Property and Copyright
Authors retain copyright under CC BY 4.0.
