For reviewers

Reviewer Recognition

Global Medical Reviews uses double-anonymized external peer review for scholarly articles. Reviewers assess both the main manuscript and relevant supplementary materials. Recommendations are advisory; the handling editor and, where required, the Editor-in-Chief make the final decision.

Certificate of peer review

After a completed review, the reviewer receives a secure certificate page with a unique verification code. To preserve confidentiality, the certificate identifies the reviewer, journal, completion date and year but not the manuscript title, authors, report or editorial decision.

Annual acknowledgement

Reviewers may separately opt in to an annual public acknowledgement. The list recognises service to the journal without linking a reviewer to a specific manuscript.

ORCID

The journal records a reviewer’s validated ORCID when voluntarily provided. Direct posting of peer-review activity to ORCID will be introduced only after the journal has authorised Member API access and the reviewer grants permission.
