Confidentiality and AI
Global Medical Reviews uses double-anonymized external peer review for scholarly articles. Reviewers assess both the main manuscript and relevant supplementary materials. Recommendations are advisory; the handling editor and, where required, the Editor-in-Chief make the final decision.
Confidential material
The invitation, abstract, manuscript, data, files, correspondence and review report are confidential. Do not forward the secure link, share files, discuss unpublished findings or use ideas before publication.
Assistants and co-reviewers
Do not delegate the review. A trainee or co-reviewer may participate only after prior written approval from the Editorial Office. Their name, email and contribution must be disclosed. The invited reviewer remains responsible for the report.
Artificial intelligence
Do not upload any part of a confidential manuscript or review to public or externally hosted generative AI services. Any exceptional use of a secure institutional tool requires prior written permission and must be disclosed. Reviewers remain fully responsible for accuracy, fairness, confidentiality and originality of the report.
After completion
Delete locally stored manuscript files and notes when the review process is complete, unless the Editorial Office instructs otherwise for an active investigation.
