Authorship Changes

Adding, removing or reordering authors requires a formal request and written agreement from all affected authors.

Before acceptance

• Submit the GMR Authorship Change Request Form.
• Explain the reason for the change.
• Provide the revised author order, affiliations and CRediT roles.
• Obtain written agreement from all current, added and removed authors.
• Resolve disputes through the authors’ institutions; the journal does not adjudicate authorship disputes.

After acceptance or publication

Changes are permitted only in exceptional, documented circumstances. A post-publication change requires a formal correction notice linked to the article.
